This workshop is for the pastel painter who has some experience with the medium, and is interested in developing a stronger commitment to composition and content in their painting. Students will create plein air value and color field studies from the varied local rural scenery. This workshop coincides with the annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, so there will be plenty to paint! The class will consist of both indoor and outdoor activities (weather permitting). Susan will demonstrate daily, assist students individually while working and conduct group critiques during the workshop.

Susan Ogilvie exhibits nationally and has work in many corporate collections. She has received numerous awards and travels throughout the US as a juror, lecturer and workshop instructor.
