This intensive master class is for the pastel painter who has established skill with the medium, and is interested in developing a stronger commitment to composition and content in their painting.  By establishing a more personal approach to using shape, value and color, you can learn to create dynamic, sensitive and uniquely personal statements about the subject.  Painting from nature, working on customized support surfaces and creating compositions in the studio from field studies are at the heart of this course. Be prepared for some hard, yet rewarding, work.  This is an opportunity to come out of your comfort zone with Susan as your ‘safety net’.
