After much consideration we have chosen to hold the Teresa Saia Plein Air workshop here in the Skagit Valley. We will be in the field painting every day taking advantage of the beautiful fall colors and light. The workshop is open to artists painting Pastel, Oil and/or Watercolor. Teresa, winner of the Best of Show award at the 2007 Plein Air Painters’ U.S Open, is an extremely versatile instructor. This is great opportunity to work with a master colorist in the media of your choice en Plein Air.

Learn from Teresa the elements that make a successful Plein Air painting work: strong values, interesting shapes, good composition and creative use of color. In this workshop Teresa will demonstrate daily, her direct painting style in soft pastel with emphasis on achieving clean, brilliant color and design, while painting on location. You will learn how to produce a concise field sketch, and improve your ability to accurately see value relationships by producing a solid value study. Teresa creates a supportive energetic atmosphere, encourages humor and fun and provides the necessary structure for artistic growth.
